Information:
BMP: The BMP image is the standard for a Windows 3.0 or later DIB file. It may use compression and is not capable of storing animation. There are different ways to compress BMP images. e.g. convert BMP images to jpg images. The BMP image data itself can either contain pointers to entries in a color table or literal RGB values.
JPG: JPG stands for Joint Photographic (Experts) Group, which is a standardization committee. JPG also stands for the compression algorithm. To complicate images a bit more, JPG compressed images are often stored in a file format called JFIF (JPG File Interchange Format), which lots of people also refer to as JPG.
